NIPSCO has been ranked at the top of the annual J.D. Power U.S. Electric Utility Business Consumer Satisfaction Survey.

The survey looks at 80 electric utilities across the country that serve more than 50 thousand business customers. Northwest Indiana Business reports that this year’s study is based on responses from nearly 21,000 online interviews of business customers related to their utility company.

Based on power quality and reliability, price, billing and payment, corporate citizenship, customer contact and communications. NIPSCO tied with Kentucky Utilities for this year’s No. 1 spot. NIPSCO climbed 51 points from last year’s study.

NIPSCO has served northern Indiana for more than a century.
