Student, teacher information exposed in PowerSchool software cyberattack

Elkhart Community Schools has been notified by PowerSchool, a platform used by many school districts, including Elkhart Schools, that PowerSchool was recently targeted by a cyberattack.
Their operations were not impacted by this incident and no student or parent information in the district’s possession was compromised as a result of this event.
Still, they are encouraging all individuals to be cautious with their passwords and take proactive steps to protect against phishing attempts and other efforts aimed at gathering personal data.
