For the first time in 40 years, the Knollwood Country Club is under local ownership again.

The sale of the club was finalized on February 1, transferring ownership to a group of Michiana residents investing together as the Knollwood Golf Group. The previous owner, Invited Clubs, had listed the course and its property for sale in July with a $6.5 million price tag. The new owners, so far unknown, have been established members of the club according to The South Bend Tribune.

The new owners plan improvements including repaving the cart paths, installing GPS on the carts, and boosting the maintenance staff. WNDU reports that the new owners also intend to repave the tennis courts and revamp the irrigation system in the future.
