A man was arrested after crashing on U.S. 20 west of County Road 11

It happened around 2 a.m. on Sunday, May 4.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s deputies say the vehicle was severely damaged after it crashed into a guard rail in a construction zone.

The driver, Aureliano Medina Pereira, 36, of South Bend was taken to the hospital for treatment, then was taken into custody for OWI.
