The South Bend Police Department is once again inviting kids to design an SBPD shoulder patch.

Kids 18 and under can design a patch using crayons, markers, colored pencils and a free coloring page to be entered in a contest.

Submissions are due by July 24 and will be uploaded to the department’s Facebook page where followers can like the image to vote for their favorite patch design.

The winning patch will be created into an embroidered patch that can be purchased by the public.

The winner will also receive a tour of the South Bend Police Department for them and their family.
