A 37-year-old woman wanted on multiple felony warrants was arrested early Wednesday morning after police found her hiding inside a clothes dryer.

The St. Joseph County Police Warrants Division said officers went to a residence in the 14000 block of Day Road with information that Carolyn Estey was inside. After searching the home, officers located Estey in the dryer and took her into custody without incident.

Estey was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail. She was wanted on active warrants in both St. Joseph and Elkhart counties.

In St. Joseph County, she faced a bench warrant for failure to appear on charges of possession of methamphetamine and resisting law enforcement. In Elkhart County, she was wanted for a probation violation related to a felony neglect of a dependent charge and a misdemeanor battery charge.
