An attempted murder suspect had his trial continued last week.

Emiliano Garcia Varrios is accused of shooting William Pritt IV, his daughter’s 18-year-old boyfriend, in 2023 shortly after Pritt was released from jail for allegedly battering Garcia Varrios’ wife.

Pritt was paralyzed in the shooting, and his father was also injured.

The trial had been rescheduled to September 8 due to scheduling conflicts with his attorney, but The Goshen News says the jury trial was now rescheduled for October 6 due to additional evidence being produced.
