Niles expands marijuana business hours

(95.3 MNC)
Marijuana businesses in the City of Niles can now operate from 5 a.m. to midnight.
City Council approved the change Monday, amending the city’s marijuana ordinance to extend hours beyond the previous 7 a.m.-10 p.m. limit. The move is aimed at helping local businesses stay competitive with future marijuana shops expected in Niles Charter Township, which allows 9 a.m.-9 p.m. hours.
Public Safety Director Jim Millin and the city’s marijuana licensing officials raised no objections to the change.
