A Berrien County man will spend 50 to 90 years in prison for the murder of Joseph Griffith, a double amputee who was killed at Ray’s Motel in April.
Michael Brewer, 34, was arrested back in May following a standoff in Coloma.
He faced homicide charges in connection with Griffith’s death.
Griffith, who had previously been homeless and used a wheelchair, was reportedly beaten to death at the motel.

he deserves the death penalty. for all hes done over the years, beating women and gotten away with it. now he murders a helpless / defenseless man because berrien county failed these women all these years as well as florida failed these women.
Like always he tries to play it off like hes the victim. There is a special place in hell for you michael brewer and I hope you spend the rest of your days rotting away in your 5×8 cell
