Three-vehicle crash on U.S. 6 near County Road 17

A three-vehicle crash involving a dump truck, a Scion, and a Mustang occurred on U.S. 6 east of County Road 17.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the collison happened around 7:26 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, when a westbound Mack dump truck, driven by a 66-year-old New Paris man, tried to pass a slow-moving farm tractor.
The truck crossed the center line and struck an eastboun Toyota Scion driven by 26-year-old Goshen resident.
A third vehicle, a Ford Mustang driven by a 36-year-old Nappanee woman, was also traveling east and collided with the rear of the Scion following the initial impact.
The Nappanee woman reported arm pain but did not require hospitalization. No other injuries were reported.
The dump truck driver was cited for driving left of center.
