Michigan City Police have identified the man found dead Monday afternoon along Indiana State Road 212 as Gregory Wyse, 31, of Michigan City.

Officers were called at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, to the 700 block of SR-212, where a passerby reported a body in a roadside ditch. Responding officers located Wyse, who had sustained fatal injuries. Detectives from the Investigative Division processed the scene for several hours.

A preliminary investigation indicates Wyse was walking southbound when he was struck by a southbound vehicle that left the scene.
