Some nonprofit groups are suing to sue to stop the restart of the Palisades nuclear power plant.
“Beyond Nuclear,” a nonprofit that opposes nuclear power and nuclear weapons, has filed a federal lawsuit aimed at blocking the reopening of the Palisades Nuclear Plant.
The suit targets both Holtec International,  and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. It argues that the NRC acted unlawfully when it granted Holtec an exemption allowing the company to submit and amend an operating license for the once-shuttered facility.
Groups called “Don’t Waste Michigan” and “Michigan Safe Energy” have joined “Beyond Nuclear” as co-plaintiffs.

I believe that is a group files a lawsuit and closes They should pay the defendant the economic damages caused by the failed lawsuit That is say the plant is delayed opening by 2 years They should pay two years of lost profit and operating expenses
