The Potawatomi Zoo is getting a major boost for its newest project.

The 1st Source Foundation has donated $100,000 toward Big Cat Tracks, a $5.5 million expansion that will transform two acres into modern, naturalistic habitats for Amur tigers and leopards.

1st Source’s Shelli Workman says the Zoo has long been a cornerstone of community life, and the project will offer lasting engagement for visitors of all ages.

The Zoo’s executive director, Josh Sisk, says the upgraded space is vital for the animals now and could support future breeding programs.
