A traffic stop in LaPorte ended with a woman fighting a deputy and landing in jail. Deputies stopped a car with one headlight and expired plates on Pine Lake Avenue on Tuesday night.
They recognized the driver, 43-year-old Laquintae Taborn, from an earlier incident.
At a hospital, Taborn refused to cooperate and kicked a deputy in the chest and head.
She now sits in the LaPorte County Jail without bond, facing charges that include battery of a public safety officer, resisting law enforcement, and multiple drunk driving counts.
