The Indiana House has passed a bipartisan bill to increase oversight of the state’s Department of Child Services.
House Bill 1307 requires the DCS Ombudsman’s office to investigate any complaints where the agency failed to protect a child’s health or safety.
Author Alex Burton says the bill ensures the independent watchdog office is doing its job.
