The South Bend International Airport is collecting donations for Transportation Security Administration agents working without pay during the partial federal government shutdown.

Donations can be dropped off daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the airport’s Information Office, located near baggage claim across from the gift shop.

Officials say the most needed items include $10 gas cards for specific stations such as Speedway, Meijer, or Kroger, along with household and personal care items like laundry detergent, hygiene products, toiletries, paper goods, and cleaning supplies.

Airport officials say the effort is intended to support TSA workers facing financial strain during the shutdown.
