A 57-year-old Elkhart man has been sentenced in a methamphetamine case.
Phillip Schrock received a 10-year sentence in the Indiana Department of Corrections, with five years suspended on probation, under a plea agreement for possession of meth.
Police say Schrock was arrested in December 2025 during a medical emergency response at a local residence, where drugs were allegedly turned over to officers and later confirmed as meth in his coat.
The Goshen News says in court, Schrock told the judge he had relapsed but is now committed to recovery and hopes to get stronger support while incarcerated.
