An Elkhart man has pleaded guilty in connection with a burglary at Hoosier Harley-Davidson on Bristol Street. 

35-year-old Adrian Graves admitted to a Level 5 felony burglary charge in Elkhart County Circuit Court.

Police say Graves used a baseball bat to break a front window, damaged display cases inside the store, and threw merchandise out the entrance, including shoes and eyeglasses.

Investigators say he later told police he believed he had inherited the business and was trying to remove items that were not Harley-Davidson brand.

The Goshen News says Graves was found competent to stand trial last fall. His sentencing is set for May 7.
