A 54-year-old LaGrange man is facing multiple charges after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

Prosecutors say Lawrence Richardson is charged with rape, sexual battery, and battery. Court documents allege the assault happened in April at Richardson’s apartment.

The victim told investigators she fought back and repeatedly told him to stop.

Richardson appeared in court for an initial hearing on Tuesday.
