A trial date has been scheduled for the man accused of shooting LaPorte County Deputy Jon Samuelson inside a Michigan City hospital.
Court records show Sharod Grafton Jr. is scheduled for a jury trial beginning November 9. Prosecutors say Grafton shot Samuelson three times inside the emergency room at Franciscan Health on May 22.
Investigators say Samuelson may have been left paralyzed from the chest down. Grafton faces charges including attempted murder, battery on a public safety officer and auto theft.
