A Goshen investigation has led to the arrest of a registered sex offender accused of attempting to meet a young teenager.
Police say 55-year-old Larry Smith traveled to a Madison Street gas station Tuesday believing he was meeting a 13-year-old girl.
According to court records, investigators reviewed messages that allegedly contained sexual conversations and plans to meet in person.
Smith faces charges including child solicitation, child exploitation, and child molesting. Court documents also indicate he has a previous conviction involving a minor.
