A woman is accused of dragging a child with her vehicle during an argument outside a convenience store.

Shayna Jones faces a charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

Police were called Tuesday to the 7-Eleven on County Road 17 in Elkhart for a reported domestic dispute.

According to court documents, surveillance video shows a child getting out of Jones’ vehicle when it suddenly pulled away.

Investigators say the child was dragged for more than 20 feet.

Jones told police she did not realize the child was exiting the vehicle when she drove away.
