Elkhart will celebrate America 250 this Saturday with a rescheduled fireworks celebration at Central Green in downtown Elkhart.
The city postponed its original July 4 fireworks because of threatening weather. Now, residents will get another chance to enjoy an evening of live music, food trucks and fireworks.
Festivities begin at 3:30 with music from Couch, followed by Rick King’s Royal Hustle at 6 and Tritt/McGraw at 8.
The evening wraps up at 10 o’clock with what organizers say will be the largest fireworks show ever presented by the Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department.
Admission is free, and visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
