The Starke County Sheriff’s Office says it will not renew its contract for Flock license-plate reader cameras.

Sheriff Rosa announced the decision Tuesday in a social-media post. The department says it made the move in the interest of community trust, transparency, and open communication.

The sheriff’s office says it followed its policies while using the cameras and acknowledges the technology can provide benefits.
