Mike Pence traveling to D.C. for governors conference

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and his wife will be in Washington for this weekend’s winter meeting of the National Governors Association.

The governor’s office says the Pences are traveling to Washington on Friday and are scheduled to return to Indiana on Monday.

Governors from around the country will be attending the conference that includes meetings on a variety of topics and with federal officials.

The governors association says state leaders will be meeting Monday with President Barack Obama.
