MOUNT VERNON, Ind. (AP) — A judge has sentenced a southwestern Indiana man to 93 years in prison on his convictions for rape, criminal confinement and kidnapping after caging a woman in his mobile home and repeatedly assaulting her over 59 days.

The Evansville Courier & Press reports 38-year-old Ricky House Jr. of Poseyville was sentenced Wednesday on 16 counts he was convicted of last month.

A 31-year-old Evansville woman testified House and his girlfriend, 45-year-old Kendra Tooley, threatened to kill her if she tried to escape. She testified House kept her in the wooden cage for much of the last half of her captivity.

Tooley has pleaded not guilty to charges in the case. A trial date hasn’t been set.
