Alma Del Real murder trial delayed for suspect Alberto Cruz

The man accused of killing Alma Del Real in 2015 won’t face trial until May at the earliest.

Alberto Cruz was scheduled to begin trial on Friday, Feb. 26, but the judge rescheduled the trial to begin on May 16 at the request of Cruz’s attorney, according to online court records.

Cruz was charged with murder after police say he led them to the body of Alma Del Real in May. Del Real was reported missing in April after a night out with Cruz and other friends.
