One person rescued after SUV crashes into St. Joseph River

One person was rescued after an SUV crashed into the St. Joseph River Monday morning, June 1.

A man who police believe was about 21 years old was pulled from the SUV just after 8 a.m., according to 95.3 MNC’s news partners ABC 57. He may have been having a medical issue at the time.

The green SUV crashed through a fence on small road behind Brown Intermediate School near Keller Park before going into the river, WSBT reported.

The person was taken to an area hospital in an ambulance. Nobody else was inside the SUV.
