Armed robbery suspects sought after two separate incidents in Elkhart last weekend

Police are looking for suspects after two stores in Elkhart were robbed on Sunday morning, May 10.

The first robbery was reported just after 6:30 a.m. at the Pak-A-Sak in the 1100 block of Johnson Street. Police say the suspect entered, flashed a gun, then took cash and merchandise before running away, according to 95.3 MNC’s news partners at The Elkhart Truth.

The suspect is described as black man in his mid-20s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing 160 to 170 pounds. The suspect was wearing a mask and black clothing, according to the Elkhart Police Department.

Then, after 9 a.m., a man entered the Subway restaurant in the 1500 block of South Nappanee Street, showed a handgun to the clerk, then got away with cash, according to The Elkhart Truth.

The second male suspect is described as black, about 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 180 to 220 pounds. He was wearing all black clothing and a mask, according to Elkhart police.
