SOUTH BEND — The South Bend Police Department honored several people, including many officers, during its annual awards ceremony Sunday, March 29.

The 13th annual ceremony was at police headquarters, 701 W. Sample St.

Detective Kelly Waite was named Investigator of the Year.

PFC. Greg Howard was named Patrol Officer of the Year.

Several officers were also recognized and honored for saving lives.

Mark McGill, host of Michiana’s Morning News on 95.3 MNC, received the C.O.P. Special Partnership Award.
