A Goshen woman accused of driving a getaway car with her 3-year-old son inside after a robbery in Elkhart County pleaded guilty to two of the charges against her, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

Christina Theriot, 23, was arrested in January on charges of armed robbery, assisting a criminal and neglect of a dependent after police said she drove a getaway car for her ex-boyfriend Joseph Lee when Lee robbed a Goshen Dollar General in August.

Theriot drove Lee to the store on Chicago Avenue where she worked at a time when she knew a manager would be taking a cash deposit to the bank, according to court documents.

Lee got away with about $6,000 and ran to the car where Theriot was waiting for him with her 3-year-old son in the car, The Elkhart Truth reported.

Theriot pleaded guilty to assisting a criminal and neglect of a dependent at a hearing on Thursday, April 16, The Elkhart Truth reported. The armed robbery charge was dropped as part of the plea deal.

Her sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 14.
