The University of Notre Dame’s athletic department is in search of the biggest fans in the area to take part in its new Athletic Fan Council that will begin for the fall 2015-2016 academic year.

University leaders say the council will be tasked with improving the fan experience at games.

The council, which will first meet in July, will include students, alumni and non-alumni members. Members will serve for one year and meetings with take place each quarter. They will focus on topics regarding fan engagement and feature Notre Dame coaches and athletics officials as guest speakers.
