Police are investigating after a man was found dead inside a Three Rivers, Mich., home last week.

The body of 49-year-old Phillip Feek Jr. was found inside a home in the 53000 block of Buckhorn Road in Three Rivers on Monday, July 13, according to 95.3 MNC’s news partners ABC 57.

“The neighbor called because the house had been vacant and it was obvious just from driving by you could see the grass was real tall and appeared like nobody had been living there,” Det. Sgt. Todd Petersen told ABC 57.

Police believe the body was inside the home for at least nine months.

The cause of death is still under investigation.
