Woman sexually assault at gunpoint near Indiana University campus in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say a woman was sexually assaulted at gunpoint near Indiana University’s Bloomington campus.

Police say the assault took place inside one of the units at Brownstone Apartments early Tuesday. The attacker fled.

The victim was taken to IU Health Bloomington.

The university sent an alert at 3:30 a.m. warning students on or near the north side of campus to stay inside and lock their doors.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
