Tradewinds Restaurant in Mishawaka is the latest business to donate money to Penn-Harris-Madison Community Schools in exchange for the naming rights of a school facility.

Tradewinds will donate $25,000 for the naming rights for Penn High School’s second floor concession stand located across from the main gymnasium and near the pool entrance for 12 years, according to Lucha Ramey with PHM Schools. The restaurant will also pay for the new sign for the “Tradewinds Restaurant Concession Stand.”

Eighty percent of the money will be deposited into the PHM Educational Foundation’s endowment fund, which pays for co-curricular and extracurricular programs. The last 20 percent will pay for professional development programs for PHM teachers.
