Slide The City to return to South Bend in July

A popular attraction at the SB150 celebration in 2015 will return to the city of South Bend in July.

Slide The City will again turn about three blocks of South Bend into a giant slip-and-slide that children as young as 5 years old can ride. About 3,000 people slid down the slide in 2015.

The waterslide will be in South Bend starting at 9 a.m. July 23. Tickets will go on sale May 4 and start at $10 for a single ride and go up to $99 for all-day passes.

Slide The City will have two-hour wave times for sliders who buy single or triple-slide tickets, which operators hope will keep wait times down. Patrons who buy the “ultimate” package will be able to slide an unlimited number of times from 9 a.m. to noon, while all-day passes will have the entire day.
