ON THE TOLL ROAD
Repaving continues on the toll road throughout South Bend and Mishawaka, from mile markers 73 to 83. Expect lane restrictions and delays in the metro area of up to 30 minutes during the rush hours… Repaving is also underway in LaPorte County between miles markers 55 to 62. (ends TFN)
IN ST. JOSEPH COUNTY
(NEW FOR MONDAY) The following roads will be closed, on-and-off this week, for 2 hours at a time, with flaggers on scene:
Miami Highway from Marshall County Line to City of South Bend
New Road from Miami Highway to Bremen Highway
Union Road from County Line to Timothy Trail
Shivley Road from SR 23 to Sweetbrier Road
Rockstroh Road from Walnut Road to SR 23
Sage & Quincy Roads from Quinn Road to Sycamore Road
Tamarack Road from Tyler Road to North Liberty
(NEW FOR MON) Watch for crews in St. Joseph County doing road stripe painting on east-west roads from the St. Joseph River, east to Ash Road and from City of South Bend Limits, north to the state line.
Construction is underway on Jefferson Road between Bittersweet Road and Ash Road. Flaggers are on scene with on-and-off closures. You are advised to find an alternative route during the project, which is scheduled to be completed in mid-August. (ends 8/15)
State Road 331 is closed between the U.S. 20 Bypass and U.S. 6, through September 1st. Crews are working to resurface an 11 mile stretch or road between Mishawaka and Bremen. Drivers traveling south on State Road 331 are detoured west on U.S. 20. Drivers traveling north on State Road 331 are detoured west on U.S. 6. (ends 9/1)
IN MISHAWAKA
(NEW FOR MON) Crews are milling and paving the final stretch of State Road 23 between Cleveland Road and Gumwood Road. Watch for alternating lane restrictions in place during the process. (ends 8/12)

(NEW FOR MON) Watch for partial lane closures on Jackson Road from Fellows to Grass Road. (ends 10/31)

Smart Streets construction continues with Michigan Street closed on the south side of town, between Barbie Street and Sherwood Street for construction of a roundabout at Michigan and Chippewa. Detour using Main Street. Also, Michigan Street closed from LaSalle to Riverside, downtown. The intersections of Michigan and Bartlett and Michigan and Marion are closed, too. Detour using Sample and Eddy, LaSalle to Niles, or Portage and Angela.(ends 9/2016)

The Olive-Sample bridge construction project continues. Sample Street has lane restrictions… Also Olive Street is closed at Ford Street on north… and south of Sample. (ends Sep/Oct 2016)
The City of South Bend’s sewer separation project is underway with road closures taking place along Northside Boulevard and Frances Street, south of Wayne Street. (ends in Nov. 2016)
IN ELKHART
(NEW) North Main Street is restricted, northbound, at Jefferson Street for water main work. (ends late on 8/12)
Sewer work is underway at the intersection of West Boulevard and Laurel Street. Car traffic will be detoured down Fulton to Nappanee Street to Beardsley Avenue. The work is expected to last 30 days. (ends 8/13)
IN MARSHALL COUNTY
It’s down to one lane in each direction on State Road 17, between State Road 8 and Olive Trail, near Plymouth through the middle of August. Expect delays and allow extra time for trips through the area. (ends 8/15)
IN KOSCIUSKO COUNTY
Watch for lane restrictions on U.S. 30 between State Road 15 and State Road 19 in Kosciusko County. (ends in August)
IN STARKE COUNTY
Lane closures on U.S. 30, between County Road 300 East and U.S. 35, near Hamlet, through the middle of September. Crews will close one eastbound and one westbound lane at a time. (ends 9/2016)
IN BERRIEN COUNTY
Watch for construction on U.S. 12 at the 11th Street overpass. Also, restrictions are in place on 11th Street north and south of the overpass.
IN CASS COUNTY
Construction is now underway on a roundabout at Five Points Road and U.S. 12 in Cass County, between Edwardsburg and Union. Drivers who travel through the area should detour along Cassopolis Road, Mason Street and Calvin Center Road (ends 9/30)
