Man who died after shooting in South Bend identified

A man died after being shot.

The victim, Chaundra Johnson, 30,  arrived at Memorial Hospital in South Bend just after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, and later died, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Around the same time, South Bend Police officers were investigating possible gunshots in the 1000 block of Lawndale Avenue picked up by ShotSpotter, ABC 57 reported.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Kalamazoo, Mich.

St. Joseph County Metro Homicide is investigating the shooting. So far, authorities have not announced any suspects or arrests.
