9/11 Never Forget mobile exhibit in Michigan City through Sep. 5

LaPorte County Emergency Services including Police, Fire, Emergency Medical Service and Emergency Management joined escorted the 9/11 Memorial trailer into Michigan City on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

The mobile memorial, which is a 53’ tractor-trailer, serves as a reminder of the tragedy that struck the United States on September 11, 2001.

2,977 victims were killed including 343 firefighters and 37 police officers. The exhibit will be staffed and tours will be given by New York City Firefighters.

The “9/11 Never Forget” mobile exhibit will be at the Blue Chip Casino and Resort in Michigan City, Indiana through September 5 and will be open daily from noon until 7 p.m. (CST).

There will be an opening ceremony at the Blue Chip on Wednesday August 31st at 12 p.m. (CST)

The opening ceremony will feature police officers and firefighters playing the bagpipes and a trumpeter playing Taps.

There is no charge for admission.
