South Bend home invasion leads to shooting

One person was shot during a home invasion early Wednesday morning in South Bend.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Kosciuszko Street just before 3:45 AM, according to South Bend Police.

When police arrived, they discovered a 20-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds after suspects demanded money from him. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to South Bend Police.

Police are still looking for the suspects. They were described as men in their 20s wearing dark clothes. It’s also believed they each possessed guns. Money and some personal property were reportedly taken.
