Democrats cry foul over planned Walorski, Coleman debates

Democratic Congressional candidate Lynn Coleman finally is getting his wish…or is he?

After months of hounding from Coleman, Congresswoman Jackie Walorski has agreed to debate. The problem? It’ll be a radio debate at a station in Wabash, which is over an hour and a half away from South Bend and Mishawaka. The radio debate will take place on Nov. 1, as was originally reported by the Elkhart Truth.

Another thing has Democrat leaders upset is that the debate will take place in the far southeastern corner of the 2nd Congressional District. They’re also upset that the debate will be off-limits to the public, according to the South Bend Tribune.

Democrats are also bristling that the debate will take place at the Indiana Farm Bureau in Wabash. The group endorses Walorski.

Michiana will get to see the two sides talk about the issues, but not to each other. WNIT in South Bend is hosting sit-down interviews with Walorski and Coleman. But, they will be pre-recorded and the two won’t ever see each other. It’s unknown when the interviews will air, according to the South Bend Tribune.
