A Dyer, Indiana man has been charged with bringing “DOOM” to his northern Indiana motels.
The U.S. Attorney’s office says 34 year-old Dipen Patel has been charged with a criminal violation of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act, or FIFRA, according to ABC 57.
Court documents show Patel is accused of knowingly distributing a pesticide called “DOOM” in rooms at motels in Howe and Michigan City. Doom is not registered with the EPA, as required.
A plea agreement has been filed with respect to the violation, but not details about it have been released.
