Kosciusko County man dies in ATV crash

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a fatal ATV crash in Wabash County that claimed the life of a man from Silver Lake.

Indiana Conservation Officers responded to a call of an off road vehicle collision in Wabash County shortly after 6:00 pm on Sat., Oct. 29, according to our partners at News Now Warsaw.

Timothy Bradford, 57,  of Silver Lake, was operating the ATV on private property in the 14000 block of N. CR 300 W. in Wabash County when he collided with a tree. The ATV sustained major damage. Bradford was thrown from the vehicle without a helmet and sustained fatal injuries.

A preliminary test showed Bradford had a blood alcohol content of .28%, over three times the legal limit.

It is believed alcohol, speed, and a lack of safety equipment contributed to the fatal collision.

Indiana Conservation Officers are continuing to investigate the incident.
