Over half of Honeywell union employees return to work Monday

They’re back on the job. Well, over half of them anyway.

173 of the nearly 300 Honeywell union workers who were locked out for much of the past year returned to work Monday at the South Bend facility. This comes after an agreement was made between the company and their union last month.

Employees with U.A.W Local 9 rejected a contract offer last May over compensation and benefit issues.

The remaining workers who did not return to work Monday will return on March 27. All of them will need to undergo training before they’re cleared to work again.

It would have been better for Honeywell to hold out. Now the Lazy union workers get to go back to work and relax. The locked out workers were close to having to go to work for a living.
