Spring is here, and that means we’ll start seeing more and more construction zones popping up on area roadways.
The Indiana State Police is calling it “Construction Zone Season,” and they’re urging you to take it a little slower when you’re behind the wheel.
Public Information Officer Ron Galaviz says officers are asking drivers to keep an eye out for reduced speeds, lane restrictions, and those big orange barrels. They’re also reminding you that wherever you find construction zones, you’ll also find police watching to make sure workers are kept safe, and drivers obey the law.
In the Michiana area, expect numerous slowdowns on the Indiana Toll Road as various sections are either being worked on now or are planned to be worked on this spring and summer. For the latest road closure information on the Toll Road, click here.

We can’t afford to work on roads in Indiana…That is why we need new taxes. This must be “fake” news again.
