A Columbia City man did not get what he was looking for in Elkhart last week.

44-year-old Chad King was arrested after driving to Elkhart to meet what he allegedly thought was a 14-year-old girl he had been chatting with online. Instead, he met an Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department detective, who arrested him, according to the Elkhart Truth.

Court documents say that detective started communicating with King shortly after a message was posted on a social media site on May 1. After a few days of allegedly exchanging explicit messages, King drove to an Elkhart apartment complex on May 5. He was immediately taken into custody.

King is facing a count of child solicitation, which is a level 4 felony that carries a maximum 12 years in prison. He’s still in Elkhart County Jail on $50,000 bond.

People are nuts! May 12, 2017 at 10:00 am

Maybe this adult identifies as a child. Who are we to say that is wrong? Children can decide they identify as the opposite sex and we have to accommodate it. Children can decide to have an abortion and their parents are not notified. Why can’t children decide to have sex with adults? We say they are just children and don’t have the mental maturity to make a adult decision like that. Our society is insane! Just to clarify…I think this mans penis should be removed.
