Two boys died in an apparent accidental double drowning.

Indiana Conservation Officers were called to Redinger Ditch in Argos on Sunday afternoon, July 16.

Several juveniles were playing in or near the ditch when one of them began to struggle in the water, according to conservation officers.

In an attempt to save that victim, the juveniles formed a human chain.

Another juvenile fell victim to the water in that attempt.
