A man had to be rescued from the St. Joseph River Thursday morning.

WNDU is reporting that the man fell into the river east of the Eberhart-Petro Municipal Golf Course in Mishawaka.

The unidentified man had to be revived with CPR. He reportedly did have a pulse afterwards and was taken to a local hospital, where his condition is unknown.

People at the scene believe the man was diving for golf balls at the time, and he may have had a heart condition.
