Your usual ramp on the U.S. 20 bypass might be closed this week

Daytime ramp closures are coming to the U.S. 20/U.S. 31 bypass starting this week.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says construction will require the closure of several interchanges at various points starting Wednesday and continuing until Sept. 20.

It starts Wednesday at exit 79, which is the Michigan Street interchange, and then crews will work northward up to exit 71, the U.S. 20 exit. Work is expected to last two days at each intersection.

During the closures, crews will mill and remove old asphalt and then resurface each interchange ramp with fresh asphalt.
