Thursday morning shooting in South Bend injures one

South Bend Police are investigating the city’s 100th shooting of the year this morning.

It happened just after 5 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of East Calvert Street near Clyde Street. Police are calling this an attempted robbery and are seeking a pair of male suspects.

ABC 57 News reports that the victim was shot outside of his home while getting ready for work when the suspects approached and shot him. Nothing was stolen from the home. The victim is reportedly in stable condition.
